Position Summary

AMCAL Multi-Housing, Inc., a rapidly growing developer of diverse real estate projects, is seeking an energetic individual to fill the position of Associate Project Manager reporting to the Vice President of Development.   Primary job responsibilities include: managing affordable housing projects with a focus on underwriting and scoring for competitiveness, responding to RFPs and funding applications, and administrative project oversight. 

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Projects and Teams, detailed oriented and willing to learn through working and independent study.  This is a mid-level administrative position within the Development Department with an emphasis on greater responsibility based on demonstrated ability.  Familiarity with real estate development is required and previous experience, preferably in a real estate or construction position is also required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare affordable housing (a) proforma with a focus on underwriting and scoring for competitiveness and (b) project budgets in EXCEL. 

• Assist in preparing and submitting all funding and RFP applications for affordable developments.

• Assist in due diligence efforts evaluating land and other acquisition opportunities in the California market.

• Assist with managing development plan approvals for the California projects.

• Follow up with city staff and development consultants, as necessary.

• Attend weekly meetings and update project-tracking reports.

• Additional items and responsibilities, as necessary.

Job Characteristics

• Use of personal vehicle may be required (valid driver’s license and insurance required)

• Position based in West Los Angeles, CA.

• A criminal background check and review of current driving record may be required.
