Developed through a public-private partnership between AMTEX and Fort Worth Housing Solutions, the development stands as an enduring tribute to civil rights icon and “Grandmother of Juneteenth” Dr. Opal Lee. It joins its sister property, The Holston—named after trailblazer Barbara Holston—to form a vibrant beacon of accessible workforce living.

Designed by Addison-based HEDK Architects, the resort-style development features six three-story residential buildings thoughtfully positioned to enclose lush interior courtyards, define an active street edge, and offer views toward an adjacent natural creek. Built to address soaring regional housing costs, the community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences for households of varying income levels—reserving 45% of its apartment homes for working families earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI) and 5% for households earning 50% or less of AMI.
